Positive Thinking

         Positive thinking is a mental attitude that admits into the mind thoughts, words and images that are conductive to growth, expansion and success. It is a mental attitude that expects good and favorable results. It brings inner peace, success, improved relationships, better health, happiness and satisfaction. It also helps the daily affairs of life move more smoothly, and makes life look bright and promising.

Understanding positive thinking and self-talk:

        Positive thinking doesn't mean that you keep your head in the sand and ignore life's less pleasant situations. Positive thinking just means that you approach the unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen, not the worst.

        Positive thinking often starts with self-talk. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head every day. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Some of your self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talk may arise from misconceptions that you create because of lack of information.

       If the thoughts that run through your head are mostly negative, your outlook on life is more likely pessimistic. If your thoughts are mostly positive, you're likely an optimist- someone who practices positive thinking.

The health benefits of positive thinking:

Researchers continue to explore the effects of positive thinking and optimism on health. Health benefits that positive thinking may provide include:

* Increased life span

* Lower rates of depression

* Lower levels of distress

* Greater resistance to the common cold

* Better psychological and physical well-being

* Reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease

* Better coping skills during hardships and times of stress.

      It's unclear why people who engage in positive thinking experience these health benefits. One theory is that having a positive outlook enables you to cope better with stressful situations, which reduces the harmful health effects of stress on your body. It's also thought that positive and optimistic people tend to live healthier lifestyles — they get more physical activity, follow a healthier diet, and don't smoke or drink alcohol in excess.

Here are a few actions and tips to help you develop the power of positive thinking:

• Always use only positive words while thinking and while talking. Use words such as, 'I can', 'I am able', 'it is possible', 'it can be done', etc.
• Allow into your awareness only feelings of happiness, strength and success.
• Try to disregard and ignore negative thoughts. Refuse to think such thoughts, and substitute them with constructive happy thoughts.
• In your conversation use words that evoke feelings and mental images of strength, happiness and success.
• Before starting with any plan or action, visualize clearly in your mind its successful outcome. If you visualize with concentration and faith, you will be amazed at the results.
• Watch movies that make you feel happy.
• Minimize the time you listen to the news and read the papers.
• Associate yourself with people who think positively.
• Always sit and walk with your back straight. This will strengthen your confidence and inner strength.
• Walk, swim or engage in some other physical activity. This helps to develop a more positive attitude.

     An ancient Indian sage was teaching his disciples the art of archery. He put a wooden bird as the target and asked them to aim at the eye of the bird.

     The first disciple was asked to describe what he saw. He said, "I see the trees, the branches, the leaves, the sky, the bird and its eye..."

    The sage asked this disciple to wait. Then he asked the second disciple the same question and he replied, "I only see the eye of the bird."

     The sage said, "Very good, then shoot." The arrow went straight and hit the eye of the bird.

Game (Hindi: गेम) is an upcoming Hindi Action film directed by Abhinay Doe and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment. This film's title was changed from Crooked to the new permanent title of Game by the producers at Excel Entertainment.

It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Sarah-Jane Dias, Boman Irani, and Jimmy Shergill among others. Aishwarya Rai Bachchanwas considered for the female lead in the film. A new face and two other actresses will be cast for the film. Production had been postponed due to Deo's wife's health issues. Game has cast 3 major leading ladies. Besides Kangna Ranaut, there is Sarah Jane Dias, and Shahana Goswami (who shot to fame with the same banner’s Rock On!! last year). The film went on the floors in Mumbai on January 15, 2010.

The film is an stylish action thriller and is set to be shot at locations in Mumbai, Greece, Istanbul, London, and Bangkok. The film is said to be in the same type of genre as the Bourne Identity trilogy. The theatrical trailer was premiered in theaters with Anees Bazmee's No Problem on December 10, 2010. The film will be released on the 1st of April.

Gurtej Singh Kahlon, 34 years of age has just completed his shift at the Woolfe Rubber Factory. He will slowly walk back home. He will ignore the “gora kid” walking with his mother, pointing at him – the funny “brown” man in the turban. He will cross the street when the group of “white” disgruntled, unemployed factory workers will try and provoke him into a confrontation. He will enter his warm cozy home and sing “happy birthday” to his six year old son Gattu. He will shield his family when the shards of shattering glass will threaten to injure them. He will chase the “gora hoodlums” who threw the rock shattering the glass window. He will break open his “gora skull” with his bare hands. He will protect his family. Parghat Singh Kahlon (Gattu,) age 17 years old has just given his father Gurtej Singh Kahlon an official letter. He will watch his father read every word. He will watch his fathers eyes brimming with rage. 7 Reasons Why The World Will End In 2012

 1. Mayan Calendar

   

   The first mob to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things:

Building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and Sacrificing Virgins.

Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it's likely they've got the end of the world right as well.

 2. Sun Storms

                    

Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with so much radiation energy, it's been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest it'll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012

 3. The Atom Smasher

             

Scientists in Europe have been building the world's largest particle accelerator. Basically its a 27km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the Universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it's properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They're predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

4. The Bible says...

          

If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn't bad enough,religious folks are getting in on the act aswell. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between Good an Evil, has been set down for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

5. Super Volcano

    

Yellowstone National Park in the United States is famous for    its  thermal   springs and Old Faithful geyser. The reason for  this is simple - it's sitting on top of the world's biggest  volcano, and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we're many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

6. The Physicists

              

This one's case of bog-simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berekely Uni have been crunching the numbers. and they've determined that the Earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they're claiming their calculations prove, that we're all going to die, very soon - while also saying their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 percent- and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

 7. Slip-Slop-Slap-BANG!

            

 We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that sheilds us from most of the sun's radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call north and south have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so - and right now we're about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is underway, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.
